At Lennox we don’t see empty spaces, we see potential. Often, we find that customers come to us for our core business offerings after they have designed, built and fitted their lab.

However, these labs are completed by architects, expansion builders and contractors who don’t always have the necessary insight on how a lab’s processes are conducted. Some may have aesthetically pleasing labs but sometimes, these may not be as functional. For example, there may be storage at one end for an instrument that requires constant product to be fed into it or chemicals and components that need to be on hand for testing, yet the user has to travel to the other end of the room for these items.

Lennox’s approach to laboratory fit-outs ensures that all processes, workflows and configurations are considered to develop labs that are not only designed based on aesthetics but also on functionality and ease-of-use.

Consultation

We work directly with our customers from the outset. Whether it is a site visit or an online consultation, we review their current processes and identify the necessary components of their product workflow. Our experienced team made up of engineers and scientists have all worked in laboratories and understand how important it is to have a functional lab that eliminates waste and increases efficiency. Through discussions with our customers, we produce a plan that is unique to their needs.

Planning and Design

Using lean methodologies, we ensure that the labs we design include value-added space. With the information we have gathered during the consultation phase we consider the layout and design to allow for equipment to be integrated in ways which will improve the efficiency of a lab. We will then give the customer a visual indication of what to expect based on their requirements.

Equipment and Furniture

Equipment is then specified and incorporated into the laboratory design depending on what stage it is required in the customer’s process. At Lennox, we work with only first-in-class manufacturers. We make sure our customers have the highest specification equipment possible and innovative technology that suits their needs.

Furniture is also selected with materials chosen to suit the environment and to combat any chemical or hazardous substances that may come into play during the product’s lifecycle.

Installation and Qualification

With ISO 17025 for temperature and mass, our technical service department performs the installation and qualifications on the equipment to ensure that your equipment is installed correctly and operates to the manufacturers specifications.

Upon approval of everything above, the customer’s four walls are transformed into a smart lab, with every phase laid out to positively affect the next. Each design element has been considered to ensure everything, from the users to the process phases, runs smoothly throughout.
